







UNESCO-World Heritage Site Quedlinburg
Visit and join Quedlinburg, which is an UNESCO-World Heritage Site and only 12km away. It has an historical city centre that is extended over an area of 80ha. With its great number of timbered houses Quedlingburg is one of the biggest memorial areas in Germany. The city documents more than six centuries of half-timbered building with a unique quality and quantity.

Wernigerode
The "Painted city of the Harz" is located on the north side of the Harz and about 35km away. You get there quickly by using the B6. In Wernigerode one of the main attractions is the "Harzer Schmalspurbahn". With this train you can reach easily the biggest mountain in this area, the "Brocken".
Castle FalkensteinThe castle Falkenstein is located in the south of Ballenstedt. This attraction has been emerged between 1115 and 1120. The three-part complex with seven gates, kennels and three ditches is one of the most beautiful and most imposing castles in Sachsen-Anhalt. Already in the 19th century the castle was open for the public. Today the museum is also a very popular place of interest for visitors.
Castle Theatre of Ballenstedt
The castle theatre of Ballenstedt is the oldest theatre of Sachsen-Anhalt, where you can still find performances today. It is located in front of our residence. The time schedule you can find at: www.harztheater.de.
Collegiate Curch Sankt Cyriakus Gernrode
The collegiate Church Sankt Cyriakus is located in Gernrode, a small town only 5 km away. The church is one of the oldest architectural attestor of that time.
